ECONOMY - DEVGEN : nv (Euronext, Brussels: DEVG) successfully completes a private placement for a total amount of ? 26.8 million (Yogyakarta)

Today, Devgen nv placed 4,584,549 new shares in a private placement with pre-identified investors for a total amount of ? 26,819,611. The shares were placed at a price of ? 5.85 per share, which is at least equal to the 30 day average price, in compliance with Belgian Company Law.

The shares are expected to be paid and issued on April 4, 2011 (in the absence of unforeseen circumstances). 1,945,613 shares will be listed immediately. The Company will apply for the admission to list the remainder 2,638,936 shares on NYSE Euronext Brussels on the basis of a listing prospectus. As a result of this transaction, the total amount of outstanding shares increases with 23.3 % from 19,676,642 to 24,261,191. (full story)

De Viz'kes is ontstaan als een idee van oprichtster Insun Adriaansen en mezelf. Via vrienden uit Belgie zijn we in Zürich met mekaar in contact gekomen en al snel bleek dat Zürich een enorm groot aanbod had aan clubs voor expats, buitenlanders, groepen van mensen met dezelfde afkomst of nationaliteit: Zo zijn er de Hollandse Borrels, les Jeudis Francophones, The Aussi Saturdays enzovoorts: Bepaalde van deze clubs of bijeenkomsten waren zeer leuk en interessant, maar we misten toch iets... Zou het geen goed idee zijn om onze eigen Belgische (Vlaamse) club op te richten!?!

En zo geschiedde... ! Insun nam de koe bij de horens en zette de eerste stap: een website.

De oprichting van onze website staat dus eigenlijk gelijk met het begin van de club en dateert van 01 januari 2011!

We zijn nog een beetje groen achter onze oren, maar hebben ondertussen toch al 22 leden verzameld en nog een tiental sympathisanten. Iedereen is natuurlijk welkom om zich aan te sluiten en we maken dan ook geen onderscheid in leeftijden, nationaliteiten, taal, geslacht en huidskleur. (full story)

NEWS - Anderlecht - Jakarta 0-5 ?

The Bakrie family, one of the richest families in Indonesia, is reported to plan expansion of its football interests in Europe.  A spokesman for the influential family confirmed that it was in talks with a professional club in Belgium.

Iman Arif : “We’re looking to Belgium because it’s one of the European countries that has flexible immigration rules. We’re still undecided on whether we will buy a majority stake or not.”

It was not specified which Belgian club was the focus of attention.  It is suggested that it could be Anderlecht, winner of 30 championships and the Belgium’s most successful club.

The involvement would not primarily be to make money.  “We want to give Indonesian players a chance to play in the best leagues, such as England and maybe Belgium. We want to help football development in the country,” said Iman.  He is also the deputy chairman for technical affairs at the Indonesian Football Association’s (PSSI) National Team Body (BTN).

OPROEP - ALL YOU NEED IS ...

Beste,

Tijdens mijn research kwam ik op je blog van en voor Vlamingen terecht. Misschien kan je me wel helpen. Ik werk namelijk voor het VTM-programma All You Need Is Love. Momenteel zijn we volop bezig met de voorbereidingen voor het derde seizoen. Presentator Mathias Coppens reist daarin de wereld af om mensen die elkaar graag zien maar niet of nauwelijks bij elkaar kunnen zijn, weer samen te brengen. In ons vorig seizoen brachten we onder meer het verhaal van Chris Deschacht, een Vlaming die al heel lang in de VS woont. Het was al een aantal jaar geleden dat hij zijn ouders in België nog gezien had. Met onze hulp kon hij hen hier een verrassingsbezoek brengen.

Ook dit jaar zijn we op zoek naar hartverwarmende verhalen. Ken jij misschien mensen die een familielid in het buitenland heel erg  missen? Of ken je mensen die in het buitenland gestudeerd of gewerkt hebben en daar de liefde van hun leven hebben leren kennen en die nauwelijks kunnen zien? Of heb je misschien zelf een gelijkaardig verhaal? Laat me gerust iets weten via daisy.deturck@endemol.be

Kan je deze oproep daarnaast naar zoveel mogelijk mensen doorsturen? Dat zou een hele hulp zijn voor ons. Ik kijk al uit naar je antwoord!
